WinMagic SecureDoc Disk Encryption 5.2 SR4 (Mac Os X)

WinMagic SecureDoc Disk Encryption 5.2 SR4 | Mac Os X | 17 MB
WinMagic has completed its testing of Mac OS X Lion with SecureDoc and now fully supports this Mac OS! We would like to take this opportunity to thank those that participated in the Mac Beta Program and will keep you informed as future updates are released. What it does? Protects data-at-rest on the hard drives of Mac desktop and laptop computers. How it works? SecureDoc encrypts the entire hard drive for Macs on a sector-by-sector basis, and enables authentication at pre-boot to ensure maximum security.

Too often, Mac platforms are left out of organization-wide initiatives to protect endpoint data, resulting in problems ranging from a lack of compliance to inconvenient work-around solutions that impact the productivity of Mac users.

SecureDoc for Mac
WinMagic’s SecureDoc for Mac OS protects the entire contents of a laptop or desktop. SecureDoc extends the protection of 256-bit AES hard disk encryption to Mac platforms. Integrated with Windows Active Directory, SecureDoc for Mac OS can be deployed across the enterprise with the same ease as the Windows version.

Strong, centralized administration of users, keys and policies, along with scalable rapid deployment make SecureDoc for Mac OS a winning choice when it comes to encryption. Consolidated management and policy configuration for heterogeneous environments (including Mac, Windows and Linux systems) reduces overall administrative effort and lowers total cost of ownership.

SecureDoc for Mac OS requires pre-boot authentication by the user. Beyond this authentication, there are no changes to the user experience. SecureDoc works transparently and on-the-fly, enabling Mac users to continue using their machine just as they did before encryption.

Also Available: Hardware Encryption For Macs
SecureDoc for Mac is also the industry’s first solution to support and manage hardware-encrypted disk drives in Mac machines such as the Seagate® Momentus® FDE drives. As a result, organizations will have the flexibility to deploy a combination of hardware and software-based encryption – or transition between the two – with full transparency for end users and a consistent management interface for administrators. Especially as new technologies expand the scope of encryption beyond software, this capability (and the associated ongoing development with other hardware encryption offerings) helps ‘future proof’ investments in SecureDoc for Mac.
