Disclaimer: I only used the trial version once, but it was a good experience
* Lots of options for naming files and folders.
* Clear, easy, non-intrusive interface with Outlook
* Easy to install
* Fast, effective

Cons

I cannot think of any

Summary

If you're trying to process 50 million resume's in your Inbox, this is the tool.

"Easy way to strip attachments off emails"

Summary

Easy way to strip attachments off emails & so reduce size of mailbox without loosing correspondance.
I create subfolders of my main folders called "Old" eg "Client 1 Old". And every
three months or so I move emails older than 90 days into the old folders & then ezdetach the entire Old folder. I figure that by then I've either already saved the attachment to my hard drive or it was never that important anyway.
Works a treat.

"Very useful to automate processing of email attachments"

Pros

#1: custtom rule extension allows automatic processing of email attachments
#2: ability to launch a script after the file has been detached

Cons

Some features not well-documented (e.g. "Detach only if attachment name contains:")
Some feature limitations:
The "Detach only if" feature should support wildcards
Emails w/multiple attachments result in multiple launchings of the "Execute" script

Summary

A solid tool which is highly useful in processing attachments in an unattended manner. I bought EZDetach for one application but quickly used it in a second one.

Re: The multiple attachments comment in the "cons" section: Multiple attachments can result in so many processes when processing all files in a folder that the machine runs out of memory.
