Summary

It is a very exellent reminder software. It can manage my all oppintments and remind me my best friends' birthdays. I never missed anything now.

"Program seems good, but lots of junk came with it."

Pros

The program seems pretty straight-forward, easy to use so far.

Cons

When I downloaded it, I got a bunch of junk that came with it- AVG search bar, some fundraising search add-on from the ASPCA. There was a screen about it when I downloaded the program, and I thought I declined to have it installed, but somehow, it just all showed up.

It took me awhile to disable and/or uninstall, but now I'm also having weird stuff happen like about 50(!) .exe files will just start updating at once and fill up my taskbar- I had to reset to get those to go away. And sometimes, when I'm not even using my internet browser, it will just open itself and a new tab will be open with a spammy-looking URL, but nothing loads.

I'm pretty irritated about it, given that CNET's usually pretty trustworthy. They should have at least made the option to not get all this crap more obvious, since I'm pretty internet-savvy and even I missed it.

"Excellent Reminder Software"

still am using. still consider it to be one of the best scheduling reminders that you can use.

"This is IT!"

Pros

I've been searching for a replacement to an appointment/calendar program which won't load on Windows 7. It needed to be simple in structure, quick and easy to load new tasks, handle recurring tasks, and deliver reminders.

Cons

For my purposes, there are no cons.

Summary

Simplicity was the prime requirement and cost was not a factor. This one is it. The performance and price could hardly be better. I'm impressed with the thoroughness of it's design.

"Inaccurate Review - Free Program Too Limited"

Pros

Easy Download with no extra unwanted software when I downloded directly efficientreminder site
Can easily schedule events, including repeating events

Cons

Free version only allows for a USELESS quiet sound reminder
Pop up and most other features listed in the review article are only available in purchased version
Free version EXTREMELY limited and not really helpful as a reminder program

Summary

The FREE version is pretty useless. I wanted a free pop up reminder program like what MS calendar was able to provide. One that does not require my browser to be open to get reminders. One that does not require me to open anything to get reminders. A simple pop up that appears on my desktop. A daily to do list. Preferably free. This review mislead me, as no pop ups are available on the free version. Can anyone recommend a pop up reminder program that is compatible with Windows 8?

I am eating crow. For some reason, pop ups on my desktop started working the day after I posted this review. I am quite pleased with the program now that it is actually doing what I had hoped it would.

Would like to upgrade my rating if possible. Definitely a worthwhile program to try.

MY REVIEW WAS PREMATURE. Sorry abut that.

For some reason, pop ups on my desktop started working the day after I posted this review. I am quite pleased with the program now that it is actually doing what I had hoped it would.

Definitely a worthwhile program to try.

"The worst download you can imagine."

Cons

Virus-like commercial program that enforces itself into your browser.

Summary

As soon as you want to install this software it automatically installs a Claro search bar and something like an add on which gets embedded in Mozilla (and probably in others too). You have to reset Mozilla if you want to not have Claro home page. Every time you reset just the home page it pops back as "Claro", which is by far the worst search engine you can imagine.

This is my experience with this software and I highly discourage you to download this free package.

"Very Good Reminder Tool"

Dependable, good reference to recurring events like birthdays.

Cons

When you download updates the new version wipes out all of your personal input.
