Pros

Very easy to use. Portable installation was simple and works through the Portable Apps menu. Can customize views.

Cons

Uses Microsoft Groove to synch files (does not work on 64-bit Windows).

Summary

A very easy to use software program allowing for quick easy file comparisons. While other reviewers have mentioned the 4 view window the software can be customized at the touch of a button to show only 3 windows or 2 windows side by side or top and bottom (your choice).

For users with the Open Source Portable Apps menu it easily integrates into the menu.

File comparisions between drives can be made by size, date, type and so forth. Copying one file to another drive is simply drag and drop. An assortment of directory background colors are provided which may be useful for some with reading the file names. Files views can be changed just like windows with folder icons and full file details available.

The one major drawback I have found is that the software does not have a built in synchronization feature. Instead it relies on Microsoft's Groove to synch files which means a user has to create a Groove account. The problem with Groove is that it does not work on 64 bit Windows so Windows 7 users are probably out of luck.

Overall, if you are searching an easy to use file manager program for your USB stick than try Q-Dir Portable. I think you will be satisfied.

Very easy to use.
Overall, the program appears to be well written. Small, fast, portable with a nice 4-directory view of folders.
Support drag and drop.
Transfer files becomes a good play.
Incredible performance..

"I like it. 4-directory view is cool."

Pros

Fast, small and simply works. I have no complaints. Can be minimized to tray. I've got a new file explorer. Portable app like this is handy. You can save bookmarks easily too.

Cons

Author is German and setup is a little unconventional but is translated. Lacks directory search, right-click "open terminal here" and some other features that more advanced file explorers have.

Summary

Overall, the program appears to be well written. Small, fast, portable with a nice 4-directory view of folders. Has thumbnail view like windows explorer. Author is German and has his own way of doing things, but after a few minutes, I got the jest of things.
