I wish I had not waited so long to try/buy this VNC client. With Vine Server (I haven't tested it any other way, since Vine Server is my number one free VNC server for OSX), this is by far the fastest remote client I have ever used, including SpyMe (slower and much less stable). I am thrilled with the performance of the Vine combo. For me, nothing has come close. It's very near real time performance when set to Thousands of Colors, which is plenty good enough resolution for me on a remote machine.
My deep thanks to the developers for the hotrod of OSX VNC clients.

The upgrade from Chicken of the VNC was worth it just to have the ability to scale the server desktop. Make connecting to a desktop with a big screen from a MacBook much easier.
Also, it is currently on sale for 24.95 for December.
Now, if they would just get rid of the brushed metal...

I really like how its developers have gone and added a few "extra" features to the standard VNC. None of these are revolutionary (Timbuktu's had 'em all for years) but it is great that a Mac VNC viewer can finally record movies and exchange clipboard data. The price is right also, especially if all you need is basic remote control.
To be fair I should mention the downsides of Vine also. It is still rather complicated to use (fine if you are a Mac geek, but an average user would be lost), and it is not as reliable as commercial products like Timbuktu or ARD (I had Vine viewer crash twice in a single morning of testing). And its full functionality requires the rather complicated set-up of the separate server.
Still, overall, if you are a Mac geek and you already use VNC, this is definitely the VNC viewer of choice as a Mac user, especially for situations where ARD or Timbuktu would be overkill.
