Flavours for Mac lets you change the look of your desktop with templates that you or other users have created. If you're not experienced with image editing apps such as Photoshop, you might find this app slightly complicated, as its Help file doesn't give much useful instruction. But don't give up that easily; this comprehensive app has a lot to offer.
Once you install Flavours for Mac, you are required to install a separate application (helper tool) to actually use the themes. Once you do this, the app welcomes you with an attractive interface and you are ready to start working on your "flavours" (themes). You can select previously created themes, view themes created by the community, or design your own, an option which opens an additional screen where you can choose to build a theme from scratch, or use a predrafted template. When you do that, an additional menu appears, from where you can select options for windows, controls, the Menu Bar, and more. While you are able to alter most standard window elements such as buttons, check boxes, progress bars, and similar, you won't be able to customize applications with unique design choices such as Notes and Reminders. If you choose not to be creative, you can also access templates others have created in the app's online store, but you'll need to register to do that. When installing any of the new "flavours" you are able to modify them, and before you apply any changes you can also preview how they will look.
If you are a theme and customization enthusiast, then you'll definitely enjoy using Flavours for Mac. It's a fun way of customizing the look of your Mac, as well as sharing your designs with others. This app isn't free, but you are able to try it out before purchasing.
