I recently switched computers, from a Mac G4 to a MacPro Dual Duo Tower. Both are fine machines, both run OS X, but the latter is an "Intel Mac," which means that I had to upgrade all my software to Universal Binary so it could run natively. That means re-authorizing all my passwords, serial numbers, iLok authorizations, and so forth. I really don't think I could have done it without Little Secrets. This became the single most important application on my Macintosh, along with Safari and Mail, for I have been saving all my critical information in it for years, and suddenly I needed every single digit of every single bit of it all. Little Secrets allowed me to click links, grab passwords, paste in new data, and to review all my apps and memberships. It would have been impossible without it. Little Secrets turned the impossible into something manageable.
I highly recommend this application!
Clickable URLs are available from the LittleSecret PREFERENCE file. I've been using LittleSecrets since March of '84 on a daily basis and have NEVER had a hitch with it. I trust it with my financial life, my personal life and my professional life. At this time I probably have a thousand entries many of which are graphics. I can move updated copies of my LS database via ftp which allows me to reach customer files from remote locations. Reply to this review Was this review helpful? Nice. Parts of this are implemented very well indeed, and I don't know enough to comment on the rest. I understand why it does, but I wish it wouldn't, use backup files. Also, I'm not really that fond of blowfish, but it's ok, I guess. Could there be an option to use AES (or Brian Gladman's 256-bit Rijndael code for us purists)?

Works great! The update thing keeps saying there is an update, even though there isn't. And it costs $9 not $7. Otherwise EXACTLY what I needed to end my "stickies hell"Reply to this review Was this review helpful? I'm using LittleSecrets every day for about one year. It's working without any problems, stable and reliable. It's handy and flexible but simple and intuitive to use. Just perfect :-)Reply to this review Was this review helpful? This is Absolutely the BEST tool for storing private information that I have found! Small, stable, and it is also the BEST tool I've found for storing Text WITH Graphics from Web pages. Using pastes from Safari 1.2, in OS X 10.3.3 it can create excellent archives of information from many websites. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? I've used LittleSecrets for almost a year. I chose it over other apps because it suits my needs nicely -- unstructured text, easy search, and password protection that protects without getting in the way.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? I like it and have been using it for ~6 months. However, the app behaves sluggish, there's a lag between many actions such as the 0.5s delay between hitting the return key and the cursor moving to the next line. Speed optimization would be a welcome improvement. DP800, 1.25GB RAM.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? (0) (0)
