1Password for Mac lets you keep all of your log-ins in one place, so you'll never have to worry about forgetting passwords again. And all of the information you enter into this app is protected by a master password, which means you won't have to worry about unauthorized access, either.
Browser integration: When you install the browser extensions that work with this app, you can store your log-in information as you enter it into each new site. You can also access stored credit card information and profiles to facilitate completing online forms.
Master password recovery: This program lets you pick a master password that you need to access all of the stored information in the app. But unlike many similar programs, 1Password lets you provide a master password hint in case you forget what you chose. That way, even if you forget your master password, you can still recover the data in the app.
Random password generator: In addition to storing your current passwords, 1Password can also generate new random passwords to help increase security on your accounts. The app generates and stores these passwords automatically, so all you have to do is let the app log you in to the sites you've generated passwords for, and you're ready to go.
Confusing manual additions: If you do try to add your accounts in manually, it can be a bit confusing. There are different forms depending on the type of account you specify, and it's not always clear where you're supposed to enter the information or which information is mandatory. Luckily, you can easily use the browser extensions to save your account information as you browse, which allows you to bypass manual entry on the forms, altogether.
This is a powerful and convenient program for storing and protecting all of your personal information. You can try it for free for 30 days, and after that, it will only support 20 entries. You can purchase the full, unlimited program for $49.99.

For my bank account I use a crazy amount of characters :)ConsOn my mac I'm having the hardest time figuring out how to save a password once I've generated a new one. So I use my PC to generate and save new passwords. Also on my mac I cannot generate 50 character passwords like I can on my PC. One more problem is that if I mistakenly duplicate an account, I have to go to my PC to delete the extra password icon.SummaryIt's a great program. But for $70 I expected fabulous.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? (0) (0) 5 stars"It works well on my Mac and iPhone 5"February 06, 2014 | By cogator Version: 1Password 4.2b3 ProsThe best part of using 1password is that it works all of the time. It is available to me on both of the devices that I use the most. They work flawlessly and the reaction time is very fast. I have not had to worry about passwords since I started using 1Password a couple of years ago and each version is better than the last. What is especially handy is the history of passwords I have used for each logon and the fact that when I have three line logons, 1Password has no problem with the logon.
ConsIt would be nice if there were a feature that notified me of duplicates, as this sometimes happens when sites do not recognize a logon after a long period of not logging in to the site. Then when I have to create a new logon, sometimes it shows up as a duplicate. This has to be dealt with manually as 1Password does not always let you know that there were duplicates until you go to logon to a site. The other issue is that when there is a full version upgrade, the program developers do not inform you that there is a charge for the full upgrade. I don't have a problem paying for this, but it just was not clear up front that there would be a charge. (Upgrades within a version are giving without charge.)
SummaryI would highly recommend 1Password because of its simplicity, ease of use and the fact that it works so well (coordinated) on Macs and iPhones.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? I guess we just have to live with bugs being a part of computer software. I've been using 1PASSWORD for a few years now and I think the original version was better than the latest version. Why do they always have to improve something that works? If it ain't broke, don't fix it!!!Reply to this review Was this review helpful? Doesn't always give me the option to enter a new password for a website.SummaryBasically I like the software but quite honestly the very first version I had (I think it was their first) worked a lot better and smoother than the current version. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but passwords don't always show up when I go to a password protected site and click on the key. It's probably worth the money to get it but I would like to see a lot of improvement before I can give it a five star rating.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? Really good interface, intuitive and fast to use.
The possibility of using it anywhere, is something also really handy.
And, be at ease, you can count on a really good team and excellent support service.ConsNone that know of!SummaryTry it, and you'll get how worthy it is!Reply to this review Was this review helpful? Easy to use: intuitive
Robust and reliable: never crashes
Aesthetics: great interface makes it easy to use
Upgrade process: although it'd seem intimidating, the months (years?) of testing by AgileBits have paid off... it's seamless
New features make organization of sensitive data that needs to be secure even easier. Really a 'one-shop' shop for it allConsMaybe a little overpriced for new users. But very well worth it!SummaryThis latest version (4.0) is better than ever. Does everything you want. And does it reliably and well.Reply to this review Was this review helpful? Does not let you see a history of generated passwords so you can figure out which ones it didn't remember for you. Much harder to use than art versions. Makes multiple records for the same website. User documentation is slim.SummaryI don't like the idea of web based versions, but I'll probably go that route. I don't understand how it gets such rave reviews. I'm running a Mac with Lion.Reply to this review Read reply (1) Was this review helpful?
