Free MP4 Video Converter takes videos saved in unfamiliar or incompatible formats and converts them into MP4s, which are to videos what MP3s are to music files, more or less. Free MP4 Video Converter's installation and setup is a bit more complicated than some similar tools, and not just in the extra programs we avoided by opting for the custom installation. The installer ran a series of tests on our system's graphics and video capabilities, including whether it's suitable for GPU acceleration and whether all codec packs were up to date. The program's user interface is fairly standard, though the background design may be a matter of taste. "May be it worth to get MP4 Converter from today's GOTD"

"DONT DOWNLOAD - VIRUSES"

Its infected with Malware & Viruses NEVER again will I download from CNET, its infected all my browsers, search engines, addin helpers, downloads programs in the background, DONT DO IT, it says NOTHING during the install.

Cons

If you want your PC messed up then install this.

Does install some form of a video converter, I don't know, I deleted it immediately when I saw all the other stuff that it downloaded.

Cons

Downloads all kinds of malware and adware that will infect your registry with the conduit adware. This adware hijacks your browser to constantly send you to the adware's homepage. Took me about an hour to delete all the additions it made to my registry and start up files and I had to completely uninstall my firefox browser.

Summary

This product is a virus.

Malware Alert!!

Summary

Unbelivably this program comes bundled with the Delta Search (Thinks it's a search engine) Virus. They have didnt even bother give you a notification with this one, they just dl it to your machine.

I should have read the comments, but I stupidly was trusting CNET, but have discovered if you follow their malware advice it leads you to a dead end, for as you can see you CANNOT contact them on this website! So this file will stay here infecting all that download it!

It's gonna take me a while to remove this now, and these guys are developing it as this version is not detected by my AVG or MWBAM so I dont even know how well that will be!!

"Pretty great, especially for freeware"

Pros

This is the 3rd video converter I've tried, and it has been the only one that I had correctly encoded mp4 videos with. All the other ones I've tried have 95% of the time resulted in the inability to play the entire file on my iPod Classic; the videos would always stop playing around the halfway mark and jump back to the previous screen. This program also seems to convert a lot faster. It does them one at a time, but the way it queues up all the files you are waiting to convert is super efficient. All in all, pretty nifty for a free product. And the skins feature is a nice bonus!!

Cons

Solely the fact that you cannot convert more than one file at a time, although I believe doing just that was what caused the vast majority of my files to fail in Any Video Converter (the only one I used that allowed you to do so).

"Fast and good quality utility"

Pros

This series of video converters is very nice because they specialize in only one specific conversion type. There are various separate converters for each type of original file. This has the advantage of optimizing the converter for the specific task.
This converter was FAST and did a good to very good conversion. I converted an HD Sony MTS file of 33 seconds in less than 25 seconds.

Cons

Of course, they want you to install a tool bar, and if you install the toolbar it will have 6x speed of conversion.
