"THIS COMPANY BLOWS"

NO PHONE # SUPPORT ,NO TECH .NO REMOTE CONECTION TO FIX THE PROBLEM. IT'S BEEN A MONTH AND THERE ASKING ME FOR INFORMATION SO I TOLD DAVID TO STICK YOUR PROGRAM .UNINSTALLED THE PROGRAM.JUNKED THERE MAIL THEN BLOCKED IT . I'M DONE WITH ASHAMPOO.IF I CAN HOCK UP HITMAN PRO,ESET NOD23 ANIVIRUS,PARETO LOGIC,ORBIT ADVANCE SYSTEM CARE,ORBIT MALWARE FIGHTER,ADVANCED DRIVER UPDATE,ITUNES,3 CELL PHONES ,A PRINTER,LIFECAM ALL IN ONE DAY WHATS UP WITH ASHAMPOO OPTIMIZER 10 . A MONTH

"ashampoo winoptimizer 10"

the program is great

Cons

the support is the worst. emails back and forth to transfer my program to my new computer and this went on for 6 days good thing it wasn't my antivirus. meanwhile I had 5 other programs switch over the same day if the new licence didn't work i'd talk to a tech on this thing they call a phone .but ashampoo don't have a phone with tech support that could remotely go on your computer to fix things up for you. instead I was offered my money back. i don't want the money I want the program. when you find a good thing you don't want to give it up.

Summary

so over all ashampoo has lost my future business. if the support is that bad with no phone number. it's a shame.

"Really great product for the price"

-proactive defrag
-one-click optimization
-hard drive monitoring

Cons

-doesn't allow for multiple install in family pc's
-needs hide to taskbar option
-there's no anti-virus

Summary

Love this product mainly for the proactive defrag. I've had 1 too many corrupt hard drives and lost many gigabytes of documents/photos.

"It does what I need"

I've had no complaints on what it does.. or how it does it. In fact, my computer has ran alot smoother after running the program. And it helps that I can choose what I need for it to work on.

Haven't found any yet....

"Noticeable improvement in the GUI"

the Graphical Interface (GUI) is more attractive and intuitive than before. Some convenient features, such as the System Restore Point Manager, have been added.

Cons

it takes a little more work to see the details of what is being cleaned - in the registry, temp-files, etc. But that is minor.

Summary

This can be used as a standalone optimization and cleaning tool - or in conjunction with other like tools. The System Restore Point Manager, that addition I have found quite useful. It will even delete the most recent Restore Point - which normally is greyed out and undeletable in CCleaner and similar utilities. The modules from past versions of Win-Optimizer are continued in this new version. The optimization speed seems noticeably improved. The Live-Tuner feature is more intuitive in this interface; and very easy to turn on and off. Defragmentation can be manual or proactive. The proactive feature works very well and eliminates the need for other defragmentation tools if the user so wishes. Highly recommend this new version of the popular utility suite published by Ashampoo.

"One-Stop OS Maintenance App"

Pros

Very powerful, easy to use, and covers area that help the newby PC user to the more advanced PC user. Be sure and take the time to look at all the options and understand what they do before you start clicking away.
Be sure your system has been backed up before you start deleting items you don't understand or you may regret your actions.

Cons

None discovered so far, however, would like to see a one-click option or the ability to build a sequence of steps that you'd like run on a regular basis.

Summary

Very handy tool to help manage your system and improve performance by removing outdated items, clean up your registry, dump browser history and temp files and give your system that weekly housekeeping cleaning that help maintain it in peak running condition.

"Vast collection of tools"

-It has a vast collection of tools, more than most other products.
-Registry clean has backup
-One click optimizer is quick and efficient
-User friendly interface

Cons

-Cost a bit much
-Some settings hard to customize
-Deletes cookies that may be useful to some people(Can be easily turned off though)

"Good and save"

Pros

Used Winoptimizer 6, 7, 8, 9. it works fine and has a lot of features. Normally I only use the one-click-optimiser. A save and fast cleaning option. It also scans the registry.
It won't repair all registryproblems, but its safe.
In all those years no instabilities or bugs detected - one exception, see below.

Cons

annoying advertising ashampoo products.
a couple of times there was an instability of the interface (not the program itself).
I'm no expert and am not able to decide whether one really needs a program like this.

"Dangerous!"

Pros

I believe this is a Dangerous Program (Please See Below);
However, the user-interface is slick & well-crafted.

Cons

I have thoroughly Tested Several Windows Optimizer Programs -- Including System Mechanic, AdvancedSystemCare, WinOptimizer, BoostSpeed, & CCleaner. Immediately after installing Ashampoo WinOptimizer -- and Clicking on its "One-Click Optimizer" my Cursor started Vibrating horribly when it was in ANY dialog box. I restarted Windows & Closed All Software, but the Cursor remained UN-Stable. Thank God, I had FORTUNATELY backed up my Registry before I installed WinOptimizer: When I Restored the Windows Registry my Cursor was perfectly Stable.

Summary

I believe Ashampoo WinOptimizer has a Terrible Bug that made my System UN-Stable. I feel very Fortunate that I had Backed Up my Registry prior to installing WinOptimizer, because I was able to Restore Stability to my System.
There are plenty of Other _SAFE_ Optimizers available--Including Iolo System Mechanic (my favorite), and of course CCleaner.
Your Mileage May Vary, but I am SOOO Glad that I had backed up my Registry PRIOR to installing Ashampoo WinOptimizer!!
P.S.: The Excellent Registry Backup Tool I had used that saved the day was ALSO part of System Mechanic -- Under its "Individual Tools". I can heartily Recommend CCleaner AND Iolo System Mechanic. Please, for your safety, be very careful when installing a Registry Cleaner . . . Yes, they CAN help; but you must choose carefully!! Thank you for reading my review! :)
