"Be careful!"

Easy to install, quick to run....

Cons

I installed this to back up my photos from my ipad. The process for doing so is easy and quick. However, be warned - the software doesn't export a full sized copy of your photos - only a thumbnail. Instead of exporting 1mb photo it reduces them to 11kb. A disaster if you then expect a full sized back up and delete from your ipad. Really can't see how this software is of any benefit at all for backing up photos! Avoid.

Summary

Easy to use... but do so at your peril! You'll lose your full sized photo.

Syncios is, quite clearly, an excellent application. It has been created with great attention to detail and appears very easy to use in practice whereas
, to me at least, Apple's iTunes is a major pain in the butt when it comes to manipulating files around.

"Transfers all files for free"

Pros

Is actually free. I have tried so many other programs that claim to be free but then try to charge you after transferring a couple of things.
You can use this to transfer all pictures, music, videos, etc off your ipad (or other iDevice, I tried the iPad Air).
Easy to use. Just highlight what you want off ipad and then select 'export'. Quick and Easy.

Cons

Tries to get you to download other software. Just make sure you are careful when downloading and installing it. Always select 'custom' when installing and untick the boxes for other programs.

Summary

Works well, just like it says. Finally a product that can take files off my iPad hassle free without charging me. Just wish Apple didn't make it so complicated!

"Crashes frequently and fails to detect my iPhone"

It's free but what use is that if it doesn't work.

Cons

This is an appalling program; I think the developers should be ashamed putting such rubbish out. I thought CNET were meant to test software before allowing it on their site. In any case, the program frequently crashes on startup and when it does start it doesn't detect my iPhone.

"The Missing Link for iTunes!"

I had only been looking for a program that would transfer .pdf files to my iPad. Syncios does it very well. But then I discovered all the other file transfers it'll do among any iOS devices. It will even allow you to delete individual pictures from Albums you've created by importing them from your PC. You can't do that on your iPad or with iTunes at all!

Easy to use, and is pretty intuitive. The first time I copied .pdf files from my PC to my iPad, it did it so fast I didn't think the program was working.

There are good online instructions for its use, and there's lots of information about the program as well, both on Syncios' website. The English can be a little broken at times, but overall it's very good.

Cons

I used Syncios about a two months ago and it worked perfectly. Today when I went to use it, it would say, "Unsupported device. Please use others." It in fact was plugged into my iPad3. Reinstalled Syncios, and it then worked perfectly. Sure hope I don't have to repeat that down the line.

If you select custom install, you can uncheck the crapware it'll otherwise install, as others have said. If you let it install by itself, it'll install crapware. Too bad. If it didn't do that, I would have rated Syncios 5-star. But then again, the crapware is probably what's helping support Syncios which is entirely free, to its credit.

Summary

This program is a must-have for anyone who's forced to use iTunes (and what iOS device owner isn't?). I hate iTunes. I'm not saying it's a substitute for it, but it allows you to do many things that either iTunes flat won't allow, or that iTunes makes very difficult.

"Best program yet for backing up/restoring files!"

Pros

Very intuitive works perfectly from what I've seen so far.
Ask me if I wanted to install a game, I declined, didn't install any toolbars as reviews stated.

Haven't found any yet.

Summary

Easiest program I've found for moving files back and forth. It's a keeper!!

Cons

installed a toolbar on my computer which cannot be removed. i never agreed for this to be installed

program failed to transfer my ipod touch 5 songs to my computer

"Needs Work"

Pros

Easy to install and use. Nice Appearance and organized well.

Cons

Lacks being a stand alone player. You cannot put info on the music file - Band name, Year, Album name, Type of music, Etc.

Summary

I am not a fan of iTunes and got trapped when buying an ipod, I should have kept my MP-3 player, much easier to use. I will try Media Monkey next as it hurts to say this, but Syncios pales in comparison to iTunes, now I will heave.

"The best !!"

startup is lightening fast
interface is clean and intuitive without any commercial link
handles all sorts of transfers (video,audio,photo,apps,contacts,etc, to and from iphone, ipod touch...
has tools that converts audio and video files and a tool for making ringtones.

Cons

none so far.

Summary

Cnet review "it installed an additional piece of software without asking for permission and pinned it to our taskbar" is false. The installation gives me the choice of simple install or advanced install. I chose advanced install and unchecked the two additional software in the process. It's the best free iphone utility ever!
