It's a distinct, faraway, echo-like sound in the background that's still quite audible. If you don't mind this, then by all means, get the software.ConsShould you be an ardent karaoke fan like me, you will find the voice-cancellation softwares available, wanting. Generally, all softwares currently available are not effective enough to totally erase original vocals from the soundtrack. Sad but true.SummaryHonestly, I had this voice-cancelling feature built in my Sony Karaoke player which I purchased some 10 years ago. The set was rather expensive then, about US$1000 (about 4000 in Malaysian currency or Ringgit). It provided the exact sound I now get when I use this trial-and-test version of the Creator Pro software. Even then, I wasn't happy with the quality that I obtained from my Sony set, playing normal CDs that had vocal tracks. So, I continued purchasing karaoke CDs that were readily available in the market, for better sound quality. Sadly, until today, I still have problems looking for accompanying music to certain songs. I guess, my best bet is to seek out credible sessionists or music arrangers able to produce the instrumental versions of my favourite numbers and keep as closely to the original tracks that I am keen on. The swaping out of instrumentals so you can use the actual song first to sync the lyrics and swap the vocal free instrumental afterward is a genius feature.ConsThis program crashes CONSTANTLY. I've learned to just continually save so I don't loose any of the work I've done.SummaryThe main times it crashes is when attempt to "apply style" which would allow me to change the color of the words, add shadow or outline, create a title and/or credits screen and insert pictures. It also crashes any time attempt to sync words in the middle of the song or attempt add words after I've synced the song.
I often have to close the program and reopen it just so the song will play correctly. Often when trying to start the song from somewhere in the middle to check a section the audio and lyrics become off by a a few seconds. Not permanently, fortunately, but it still is an annoyance to have to restart the program just to listen to the song.
I would love to recommend this program because it has a lot of great features. The Vocal Remover works well on some songs but it's understandable that for others it would be difficult to remove a vocal track.
I opted not to get the "Pro" version of this and maybe that was a mistake. Perhaps the extra few features were worth a 50% up-charge. I'm not sure. I am sure that paying $99 for this program, I would hope it wouldn't crash at all, let alone as often as it has. I really truly hope that there is a update soon so I can redact this review. Until then, I'd save your money. It's pretty frustrating.

I tried this one, and it took a few tries to get the timing down for synchronizing the words to the music.ConsI wish they would let us save the files so we can play them, but on the trial version you can't so you have no way to test anything live. I wouldn't mind a splash screen or something even. I do not have $99 to pay for it currently.SummaryI think if you can afford this, it will make up songs for you just the way you like. I just took a karaoke file, and slowed the music down a hair using one program, and added the lyrics from a text document. I combined them just fine after a few tries to learn how to get the timing down. I wish it was not so expensive to purchase but they created the software so they can charge what they want. I will be searching for less expensive versions that work in a similar way in the meantime since I cannot afford to buy this one.Reply to this review Was this review helpful?
