"The right choice for me"

Version: Advanced Time Reports Professional 10.0.75

Pros

I tried out about a dozen other solutions before finding this one. I needed something with a simple punch clock that can be applied to clients and projects. I also needed the task description to be displayed in reports (tasks aren't part of this version, so I'm using the description field.) I also needed the ability to edit and manually enter time entries. ATR was the only solution that had all of this and was relatively simple to use. At first glance, the interface and features looked like overkill, but whoever designed it must have gotten feedback from real users because it's pretty easy to figure out.

Cons

I'm having some field-total alignment problems with the reports, but it's not a big deal. I'm sure it's the developers way of getting people to upgrade to their Premiere version with advanced reporting.

Summary

It looks like it was designed for a larger business, but I'm the only one in my company and was able to jump in and start using it within about 10 minutes.

I like the simplistic approach and the fact that if you have an idea then the DB software techies are quick to respond to our needy demands!

Pros

High in functionality, simple to setup and maintain. Support is first rate both in response and in fixes to support my business needs. Ability to upgrade and manage the underlying respository is very good.

Cons

To get the most out of the product, you need to spend time tweaking the packages. Some of the best features aren't obvious, but I'm sometimes too lazy to check the manuals and the forums!

Summary

Provides me with the automation and flexibility that I need to support my customers with different database types, and even once the full cost of the product is concerned, cost is a minor factor. This product is massively improving our ability to increase what we do for our customers.

Pros

I upgraded Standard Edition to Professional for the extra functionality of IMAP and Anti-virus protection. Installing and upgrading has been a breeze - the configuration utility is a standard windows plug-in, all services are clearly labelled and the interface is intuitive...easy for even an inexperienced user like me!

I didn't realise until this morning that they had a professional version. I have previously downloaded the standard version and was extremely impressed with that. So I downloaded professional and I have to say, with the set of features that it has, my impression of the guys at Mail Enable has increased even more. I hope they keep up the good work, because it sure looks great. Great software ought to be rewarded - I am now going to purchase this product.
