"Well Worth the Price"

Pros

I have been using this great software for several years now and it just keeps getting better and better. There are literally hundreds ot tweaks and adjustments you can do to your system, and of course, you have the ability to "undo" them, as well. I use the registry backup utility every day and it has saved me from having to do a complete reinstall on several occasions. Download the trial and see for yourself!

Cons

None that I can think of.

"Absolute best software to fix Microsoft errors"

Pros

Do not be penny wise and pound foolish, purchased Windows 7 Manager today. This software is state of the art technology that is light years ahead of any other similar software that can find, system errors, registry errors, and optimize your system as claimed. This software accomplished for me what Microsoft was unable even come close to resolving a software problem over one year.

Windows 7 Manager was able to direct me to the exact Microsoft problems, "Microsoft Visual C+ C+ Redistribution 2008 and 2010 that was preventing some of my software downloads install due to perimeter errors. With this information I was able to uninstall and reinstall the correct Microsoft download software. (The problem was resolved). If I only knew about this program over one year ago, the problem would have been resolved and Jet Cleaner and Update Checker would have been installed.
I am a certified beta tester for just about all security software, registry repair/cleaner and optimization soft

Cons

None work 100% plus as described by the publisher. Plus download 100% clean with no bundled, toolbars, malware, adware or PUP embedded.

Summary

This is software that was written to perfection. Performs as claims and best of all is downloaded free of any embedded, toolbars, malware, adware or PUP.

"It's One of the Best"

Pros

At least a couple of people have rated this multi-faceted utility poorly and said that those of us who like it surely don't know what we're talking about. Well, I've been in the computer business since the '60s in everything from maintenance to Support Manager at Microsoft, so I would suggest it is they who need to take a second look. This tool has tons of utilities and tweaks, far too numerous to list here, and a registry backup utility that I use daily because I find it more reliable that Microsoft's own. Seriously, give it a try.

Cons

I agree with not running registry defrag as one user suggests. Other than that, it's simeply a great bunch of tools and tweaks rolled into a single utility.

Summary

You really have nothing to lose by trying it. Backup first, so you can always go back if you don't like it. My guess is that you won't be going back. I've been using it for at least 4 or 5 years now.

This utility just keeps getting better and better. I use it to make daily registry backups and it has come to my rescue on many occasions. It is surely one of the best tools of all I have on my PC.

"A GREAT Windows Utility"

Pros

I have been using Windows 7 manager for a long time, and prior to that, Windows Vista Manager. This utility has many, many custom Windows settings, tuning utilities and backup features. I backup my system registry daily with Windows 7 Manager and have used it to restore my registry many times. It works flawlessly.

Cons

None that I have found. It has NEVER caused me to lose data or cause any files to be deleted accidentally.

Summary

This is one great system utility. Well worth the price and I recommend it highly.

Slow GUI.
Automated Registry Cleaner.
Registry Defragger.
Disk Clean up.
Whatever else.

Summary

Okay, everyone on here that seems to rate these things doesn't really know what they are talking about. I was directed here from a forum post while tweaking my registry manually.

I did the dumb thing of downloading this and allowing it to do nothing but file extensions, not touching DLLs or system files. After install things on the computer were running horribly slow. Start up is crap, etc.

Fact of the matter is DO NOT EVER DEFRAG or "OPTIMIZE" your registry with a program! There are EXTREMELY dangerous things to mess with. So, if you're not willing to get your hands dipped into the registry leave it alone.

Any/Every automated registry cleaner IS BAD! May not be the first run or second, but trust me you are causing more damage to your operating system and things will get worse and worse over time.

Thank Heavens!! and FREE no less. Fruit Menu and other other little "9 like" hacks and tricks are sweet, or cute, or helpful or whatever, but the random migration of icons on the OS X desktop has been a major PITA for me for years.

Now I can say that there's not anything that qualifies as "pet peeve" for OS X anymore... well... that's going too far... but this ROCKS!

Can sync individual folders! It's well organized too. It handles conflicts well, such as two computers updating the same file and then uploading it. Solid mobile apps for Kindle Fire, iPhone, and Android. It keeps a backup of the 5 most recent versions of all of your files too. I've never lost any data through SugarSync.

Cons

Sometimes it can get hung up on trying to sync a few files because it thinks they are currently being used or something.

It allows you to sync any folder and as many folders as you like.
It doesn't put you in a straightjacket of only one folder, as in Drop Box
It works well in the background
It starts out with more free storage than many other services
It is easy to earn additional free storage

Cons

Unlike other services, it cannot sync Mac bundles, which is a SERIOUS problem that results in corrupt and unusable files. When you read this post, it may have been overcome by events. Check with SugarSync to see if this is still an issue.

Summary

This is an excellent service, which I recommend. Mac users must be circumspect. Find out which applications save bundles. If you frequently use them, find a different service. If you save files from those applications in specific folders, you can use an additional sync service simultaneously for them.

Note that you can make iWork applications compatible with SugarSync, by setting an option in their preferences not to save files as bundles.

You can check a folder for bundles in the terminal, as follows:

cd ~/Documents/Myfiles
ls -le

Only the first character and the file extension are significant for this purpose.

The first item is a Pages file
The second item is a Pages bundle
The third item is a regular directory

To convert iWork bundles into files:

1. Uncheck the option to save files as bundles
2. Change the file extension from .pages to .template (or from .numbers or .keynote to .template)
3. Drag the file onto the desktop
4. Double-click on the file on the desktop to create a new document. The original content is intact.
5. Save the file with the original name in the original location.
6. Delete the file on the desktop.
7. SugarSync will sync the file correctly from now on.
8. Send a bug report to SugarSync.

"All-time Favorite Program"

Pros

Amazing software, my favorite freeware. A substantial 5gb of free storage is given. Synchronization is kept simple and straightforward and is done very well. Users can sync files across computers easily. Sharing folders and files is simple too; public links can be disabled and recipients do not need an account to download single files. The web interface is done well too.

Cons

Some of the mobile versions of this program can be a little glitchy, such as the ones for iOS or Android.

Summary

#1 for file synchronization and backup. If you're looking for something with a bit more customization than dropbox (such as folder sync), use SugarSync.

"Good, but Limited"

Great graphics and even greater customer service.

Cons

I quickly exceed my free storage when I tried uploading pictures, so I sprung for the paying version for more storage. It still didn't make a dent. My Mac records every image that ever went through my computer, and I'm a journalist, and puts it in the photo library. I asked Sugar Sync, and you cannot manually cull your photos. It will cost a fortune for me to store thousands of irrelevant images.

The other deal breaker is that is doesn't pick up your mail. How often have I needed to access an old email? The iPad and my web based served only holds so much. Guess i am search elsewhere.

"Lost data, wretched customer support."

When it works--intermittently--it's really cool, keeping a running backup of often-used files, and a cache of relatively static files.

Cons

It really doesn't work very well, and when it breaks--which it does way too often--customer support is simply unavailable: After I'd had it for a few weeks, it suddenly stopped syncing my files. After a week of trying to get someone to respond to my cries for help, it spontaneously started working again, "coincidently" just as I got the tech staff's attention. Then, two weeks ago, I discovered that 90% of my stored files were missing. I sent a total of five emails, and tried twice to use LiveChat, only to be bumped after 1/2-hour wait. It took several days to get them to respond to my request to cancel the account.

Summary

A good idea, but they don't seem to be able to get it to work. Because the technology is clearly faulty, I would never use them for anything important; because they have wretched customer service, I would never use them for anything. Sorry.

"NO RECOVERY AFTER DATA LOSS. SERIOUS FLAW"

OK WHEN IT WORKS. Staff were quick to refund the annual payment.

Cons

ERASED over 30 Gigs of my data. Support staff could not help at all. They have no log of events NO hope of rescue or recovery. No explanation so NO way to prevent the same happening again!

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Sugarsync can not and will not help you if data is lost. Recovery and rescue is NOT possible.

MyDraw Manager is a great little utility to help coaches, managers, parents and players keep track of their draw. In addition to being able to keep track of your draw in one simple place, it keeps your calendar up-to-date as well.

It can be used for soccer, hockey, football, tennis, debating, chess... in fact, any activity where you need to keep track of events or matches.

The ease of use and how easy it is to change from the Simple to Advanced
interface. The ability to set startup programs to delay starting and for how long to delay before starting.

Cons

Can be dangerous for newcomers to use because it is so easy to use. The price.

Bottom_line summary is that despite the fact that it costs money and is not freeware this is one app that I feel is worth purchasing. It does what it says it can does it easily. Very nice interface.

Actual Windows Manager is one of those tools that are first to be installed on a new PC. It is without doubt, one of the most valuable tools I use on my PC.

Need to create custom setting from window quicker.

Summary

Here are just some of the ways Actual Windows Manager enhances my computing experience:
i. The ability to quickly keep a window on-top of others, very useful when you want to use Notepad as a desktop post-it.
ii. Keeping important windows e.g. Workrave timer not just permanently on-top, but small and neat by removing unnecessary Window borders and buttons.
iii. With my dual monitor setup, switching a Window from one monitor to another at the click of a button... including maximised windows. For Restored Windows, you can either 'Keep the aspect ratio' or 'Fit to target monitor'.
iv. Also for dual monitors, intelligent 'Dual Taskbars'... nice!
v. Roll up windows when you need them maximised but don't want to go hunting for them in the Taskbar or System tray
vi. Plus, Actual Windows Manager is the only application that finds windows that have gone off screen and move them back on-screen.
Actual Windows Manager is worth every penny, and once you start using it, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.

Kaizen Software's Asset Manager 2010 Enterprise Edition has an easy-to-apply answer to the problem of keeping track of stuff. This bar code label printer and manager creates custom bar codes that you can attach to equipment, materials, tools, supplies, and anything else that is all too portable. An icon-based toolbar makes it simple to edit bar codes and generate new ones. Tabs also call up categories in the navigation panel: Assets, Personnel, Vendors, and Reports. Each category displays tracked items in detail; for instance, Assets are displayed by Type and Location, and Types include Electronics, Furniture, Hardware, and, of course, Miscellaneous. The Reports tab has a series of common categories you can simply click to select; Asset Manager generates and prints an accurate, business-quality report for you. Though some might see this as an extra, we feel it's just the sort of primary feature that has potential to save time in actual use and helps make Asset Manager more of a productivity tool than simply a bar code application.

Like Kaizen's other software, Asset Manager is geared toward business users, but it has a wide range of other potential applications, such as clubs and community groups. The program is also available in a Standard Edition; the chief difference between the two editions is in refinements and extras, such as the ability to set automatic backups. Asset Manager isn't cheap, but it has the potential to pay for itself in protecting assets and improving productivity.

Asset Manager 2012 Standard Edition

Kaizen specializes in business software; its Asset Manager 2010 Standard Edition creates bar codes that you attach to your equipment or other physical assets. It makes it easy for employees or others to check tracked items in and out. You can even attach pictures, owner's manuals, maintenance records, and other relevant data to the database records. Asset Manager's easy-to-use database makes updating entries simple, and the program's reporting and vendor contact features can help simplify accounting, inventory management, and supply lines, too.

The program's familiar tabbed and paneled interface displays a navigation view on the left featuring tabs for Assets, Personnel, and such; the main window displays and tracks all existing bar codes for each category. It's easy to add new bar codes; we created and edited one for our test system's new monitor, but since we didn't have any printable labels on hand, we didn't actually print out the bar code. Likewise, to make use of bar codes you'll need some kind of OCR reader or scanner technology. Asset Manager 2010 is available in two similar editions, Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition. The main differences between the two are refinements and enhanced features geared toward the enterprise. For instance, the Enterprise Edition offers more automated options for features such as backups, but both have the same basic functionality.

Though Asset Manager 2010 Standard Edition is clearly a business tool designed for small to midsize companies, it has potential applications in organizations, community centers, Scout troops, clubs, recreational facilities, libraries, or even large families--anyone with a lot of stuff that needs to be kept track of. It's probably a bit pricey for individuals, but it could pay for itself in a business the first time it prevents the loss or theft of an expensive piece of equipment or a pallet full of supplies.

Aloaha itslef is good.

Cons

CNET doanloader is buggy and throws up an virus error in Comodo IS. Had to cancel because it wanted to install stuff and could not read the check box to disable the coption. Went to Aloaha web-site to download.

Avoid the CNET dowloader until they fix it.

Can monitor training for a large staff base.

Cons

Takes forever to boot. This applied to several PC's. We then loaded it onto brand new pc with hardly any software on it .... no problems. There must be a conflict some where but it is beyond us mere mortals

Summary

Happy with the product, should keep the auditors at bay as we used to track staff training with spread sheets which had its moments. Not complicated.... follow your nose. Have a test drive first and see if suits your business requirements.

As more and more aspects of our lives move online, it gets harder and harder to keep track of user names, passwords, personal identification numbers, and all the other bits of sensitive info that we need to remember. Although online accounts have made many tasks more convenient, creating log-ins that are both memorable and secure can be quite a hassle. Password Manager XP Professional is a simple solution to this problem, providing a very secure but easy-to-access place to store all your most personal information.

The program's interface is basic and intuitive, and we had no trouble getting started. Users simply create a new database, and then enter the information they want to record. There are a variety of templates for different types of information, including credit cards accounts, addresses and other contact info, software serial numbers, Web site log-ins, and more. All of this information is organized by category in a tree structure within the database, making it easy to find what you're looking for. Users can create multiple databases, each of which is protected by a password and up to eight different kinds of encryption. Password Manager can also be installed on portable devices, such as USB drives, allowing you to keep your information handy and secure. Overall, Password Manager isn't flashy or particularly visually impressive, but it's extremely easy to use and effective.

Password Manager XP Professional has a 30-day trial period. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

"Can't Function Without It"

Summary

Used this product for sometime and I can't function without it online. It contains all my passwords and other info I want to keep secure online. It can be a little intimidating starting because of all its features but well worth the effort to read a little.
