There aren't that many Internet browsers. It was interesting to come across one that isn't as well-known or as well-advertised as the others: SlimBrowser. We can't say much about the security of this browser, since time will only tell, but it has some interesting features.

You can save all open sites as a Group, for example, which is a very convenient feature for anyone that has to regularly open the same sites simultaneously for work. There is also a Language tab, which connects you to Google in order to translate a page. It's not perfect, obviously, but it was nice to see a way to easily access such a feature. In File you can also view recently closed sites, which is nice for when you accidentally close the wrong page. You can change the skin of the browser, but most of the skins aren't aesthetically pleasing. It has a lot of the other, familiar features of other browsers so you wouldn't be missing out on those if you choose to give this a try.

Downloading this Web browser was easy. The installation was quick and easy as well. You can set up SlimBrowser to be your default browser during the installation process if you want to, but it's not required.

"Very good Chrome-based browser"

Pros

Solid, stable, polished.

Cons

Comes with Chrome's limitations: extensions, download bar, tab options, etc.

Summary

I'm now using Slimbrowser as my main backup, after my main browser, Opera 12. I give the browser high marks for its polish and function. I haven't had a single crash yet. And many here are under the misconception that this browser is based on IE. It is not. It is based on Chrome's Blink engine.

It still doesn't measure up to Opera 12, though it renders more sites without problems. Opera itself has gone to the Blink engine, and in my estimation regretfully is not proceeding at a viable development pace.

Pretty easy to use & understand,etc.... :)

Cons

NO "Inprivate Browsing" - Which I'm Sure they could put in IF THEY WANTED TO.... :( WHY DONT THEY WANT TO ???

Summary

Its quite good,But They want to make sure it keeps pace (or even beats) its rivals who Arn't standing still in the development field,either), + U have to keep-an-eye on its 'settings',etc..

I Like it. There's Not very much wrong with it.... :)

Cons

It Dosn't have IE 10 & 11's "InPrivate Browsing",(& there are equivalents on other browsers),But apart from that its quite good... :)

"This Browser is Overrated"

Pros

Tabbed viewing. I'm not sure what else.

Cons

It didn't take long for this browser to freeze up. After several restarts, it still is unresponsive. So, I never got to check out the features of this browser.

Summary

This is definitely not meeting my needs on the internet. I am just glad that it was free.

"easy to use"

gets me where I want to go with ease by saving my favorite sites.

Cons

It's a goggle product so it tracks where I go.

"Not my cup of tea"

Pros

Fast, multiple tab works well, grouping option, very good interface, lots of features that I.E. and Mozilla don't have, youtube download button to save your favorite TV shows and movies, auto-fill, free.

Cons

Sometimes the browser will freeze up on one tab, and I can't close the tab, can't go to another tab, and sometimes can't even close the browser; luckily I always have Windows Task Manager running and pinned to my task bar so I can just go there and close the process. I also have at least one other close and kill program that I always keep running and pinned to my Windows task bar for easy use (I recommend this for everyone)just in case my browser or any other program locks up.
In addition, certain ads seem to follow me more often with SlimBrowser; there are times I have to move my mouse down to

Summary

My main concern is security. I was noticing at times on Slimbrowser when I was on certain sites or when I would have multiple tabs open that I would be running low on memory or my computer temp would start running a little high.
That spells one word to me: Hacker. I'm not saying it's because of SlimBrowser- I've been using free anti-virus programs lately- but this doesn't seem to happen as often on Pale Moon.Glitchy, may be spying on me and collecting information. SlimBrowser was my favorite browser for quite a few years, but lately I've been switching over to Pale Moon and Waterfox, also sometimes Lunascape.
I've even wondered, did some government agency design this thing and give it away free to mine data? I don't know; I don't wear a tin foil hat, but I'm moving away from SlimBrowser.
"Show desktop" on my windows taskbar and click it a few times to unfreeze SlimBrowser,
and often when I do this the webpage in the browser turns black. Very suspicious.

"Just another Internet explorer with custom tabs."

Pros

Customize tab bars, feature rich, flash/java support is excellent.

Cons

Bad design with graphics, just gives you that cheap feel. They claim its fast, but its nothing special. Bing on windows 8 smokes it. Ran browser security check and nothing worth noting either. To me its definitely just another subpar browser that crashes after ten minutes of showing off.

Easy to learn and use, programmable Toolbar and you can use RoboForm with it!

Non that I have found in the several years I have used it and loved it.
