Flash video on sites like YouTube is great, but what's even better is saving those videos to your computer to be viewed whenever you want. Save2pc Pro is an easy-to-use program that lets users save files from Flash video sites in a variety of formats. It's not the best such program we've ever seen, but overall, it works fine.

The program's interface is simple and intuitive. Users paste the URL of the desired video into a text box, choose a format and destination folder, and click Download. The program downloads the video and saves it in the proper format and locations. Users can choose from among 11 formats, including formats for portable devices and audio-only. Save2pc comes in four different editions, and this one, the Pro edition, gives users access to downloads from the vast majority of popular Flash videos sites, including YouTube, Google Video, DailyMotion, and more. Only the Ultimate version gives users access to more sites. There's really nothing about Save2pc Pro that particularly impressed us--the program doesn't even have a Help file--but it doesn't have any major drawbacks, either. It does the basics, does them well, and that's about all you can expect from it. If you're looking for a basic video downloader that's functional but doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, Save2pc Pro is a good choice.

Save2pc Pro is free to try, but the trial version only downloads the first half of each video. The program installs and uninstalls without issues. We recommend this program to all users.

Save2pc is a tool that downloads videos from YouTube or Google video and saves it as AVI or MPEG or FLV file to your local computer. Save2pc allows you to easily grab and save desired YouTube video. The user interface of save2pc is very simple, so you don't need any technical knowledge to use it. No need to use scripts for web browsers.

Other features include in Pro preview selected videos before downloading, convert downloaded videos into extra mobile devices and audio formats MOV,MP4,3GP,MP3, and WAV, download several files at the same time, and YouTube flagged content age verification bypass.

"Freezes PC controls/no support from their support link"

Pros

When it worked initially, it was an ok product,even though a little glitchy(freezes and sometimes errors when attempting to download links before actual video downloads)

Cons

Now seems to have developed a bug somewhere during the update process. I have subscribed to their Ultimate version and have auto updates, so I know I have most recent version. Now I get mouse and keyboard freezes, Internet Explorer crashes, and continual errors when trying to aquire link addresses. All of these issues stop if I close the program. And the worst is their "support" is non-existant. I have emailed them for support and help with these issues NUMEROUS times over the last 3 weeks with ZERO response. I guess if I had the free version I would "oh well" it, but having paid for Ultimate Version with auto updates, I think one should be able to expect minimal support at the least.

Summary

I would not recommend unless you are fine with no support and I definatly would not recommend paying for top versions since when it fails you have no recourse support nor refund. I will be searching for a different product to download Youtube videos.
